MTS says Russians become less digitally active as lockdown eases
MOSCOW, May 15 (PRIME) -- Digital activity of Russians has declined as lockdown has eased, the country’s top mobile operator MTS said on Friday in a statement, quoting its index of digital activity in big cities.
The index fell to 8 as of Thursday from 9 registered since April 30, which means the use of digital solutions was 59% higher than the 2019 average.
MTS said demand has fallen dramatically almost in all categories of digital services, but the indicators are still above the 2019 average.
Depending on demand for digital services, MTS created an index where 5 means an average level of 2019, and growth or fall in demand by 25% is translated into a step of the indicator by 1 point upward or downward.
